Creative Dance
We are pleased to offer even more dance workshops to key stages 1, 2 and 3. Over the next year we plan to develop a support programme for GCSE and A level dance candidates.
Dance workshops for Nursery, KS1 and KS2 in your school
What do we offer
Following similar lines to our drama workshops, our professional dance director will visit your school and facilitate an interactive dance workshop with up to 35 participants. Using a variety of music, props and visual aids, the children will be encouraged to open their imaginations, express themselves and create their own movements. All we need is a large hall and a CD player. Our workshops are categorised with a creative, rhythmic or cultural focus, but may be tailored to suit a particular theme or curriculum subject.
Around the world – Dance and Movement
Perfect for the exploration of different dance cultures this workshop looks not only at the chosen dance but also the historical and social context of the world from which it came. Although based in the traditions and techniques of the dance style the children use their own ideas and imagination to create their own dances. This workshop can be tailored to meet many requirements, however at present we do already offer the following workshops; Salsa, African, Bollywood, Flamenco and Hip Hop.
Healthy Living and Fitness - Get Moving
Devised in line with the MEND programme and its aims and objectives. This course can be run either as a series of sessions over a week, month or school term or used as an introduction to creative approaches to active minds and bodies. This workshop uses many of the practices and techniques developed in this nationally recognised child obesity scheme to create movement based interactive sessions.
How can you use these sessions?
These sessions are suitable for
- Individual Sessions
- A series of sessions for science or health focus weeks
- A programme of work for PPA delivery
Cost:
A full day of two workshops starts from £275
A half day of one workshop £170 travel fee is payable and is dependent on the distance from our base in Oxted.
Multiple sessions or PPA work are calculated dependant on the requirements of the school.
